Who We Are

VerifyTrade is an independent editorial project that examines how trustworthy online trading platforms are for people in the Philippines. This site focuses on one platform, ExpertOption, and looks at it through a single lens: can a Filipino trader rely on it with their money and their personal data?

What we do

We assess ExpertOption against a fixed trust framework rather than hype or fear. Our chapters work through licensing and oversight, segregated client funds, encryption and two-factor authentication, KYC verification, withdrawals through GCash and Maya, customer support, reputation and the regulatory context here in the Philippines. Where a question keeps coming up, such as the SEC Philippines advisories about unregistered online brokers, we explain what it does and does not mean.

How we work

Who writes this

Editorial work is led by Marco Villanueva, Markets Editor, who covers retail trading platforms and consumer finance for a Philippine audience. The aim is plain-language analysis a first-time trader can follow, not jargon.

Independence and how we are funded

VerifyTrade is not owned by, operated by, or speaking for ExpertOption. We may earn a referral commission if a reader opens an account through a link on this site; that arrangement never changes our assessment, and trading always carries a high risk of losing money. You can read the full referral disclosure in the site footer.
